A proven methodology for connecting the dots of school reform 

Today, districts are expected to implement numerous complex initiatives at a rapid pace within a traditional model of education that works against the process.

The current model shoulders districts with many disconnected parts and pieces - 

  • huge amounts of data
  • expensive, unrelated software
  • silos of information
  • ineffective professional development and staff pulled in opposite directions

Initiatives and programs are introduced using a method of implemention that is vague, incomplete and inconsistent.

The Miller Guidance System 

The Miller Guidance System (MGS) is a research-based, system of specific tools, protocols and embedded coaching that unifies and manages the complex process of implementing REAL change for districts.

Focus on the big picture. Our consultants conduct a thorough Gap Analysis of current practices to quickly identify gaps, redundancies and specific needs. A Master Plan is then created from this information and in collaboration with district leaders, that will guide the planning and decsion-making that forms a solid foundation for lasting systemic change.

Efficient implementation of these changes occurs using collaborative grade level data-team meetings as a vehicle. The newly trained instructional leadership team takes a lead role in this process, under the guidance of MG consultants.  Our model of embedded coaching is designed to scaffold the acquisitions of new skills and beliefs by educators.

An accurate record of program effectiveness. The MGS Measure of Effectiveness is a tool that accurately captures the effectiveness of the program, stakeholders and coaches.
